In 37 Chicago Precincts, Romney Received No Votes

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that in 59 Philadelphia precincts, Mitt Romney did not receive a single vote. So Ward Room decided to look at the results in the president’s hometown, and see if he won as many shutouts here. The answer: no. Romney was rejected by every voter in only 37 Chicago precincts, an embarrassing result, given that segregation and Machine politics are two of our city’s most notable qualities. Here’s the list, with the percentage of African-Americans in each ward, and the percentage of votes Obama received there overall.

Not even a Senate candidate is immune from strange goings on at the polling sites.

Wendy Long, the Republican candidate for Senate in New York, said she went to cast her vote Tuesday morning and got the runaround from a poll worker. Voting in the very blue New York borough of Manhattan, where voters fill out paper ballots, slip them into a “privacy sleeve” and then insert them into a scanner, Long said she had hers ripped away away by a poll worker.

Ohio Voter Fraud

Human Events reports that poll workers at an Ohio voting station observed busloads of Somali Muslims in Ohio — the state is home to the second-largest Somali population in the United States — being driven to the voting station and guided by Democratic interpreters on the voting process. No Republican interpreters were there.
